Wrestling captures 7th place finish at the Pete Willson-Wheaton (Ill.) Invitational

WHEATON (Ill.) — The Ohio Northern wrestling team placed 7th of 30 teams at the 2026 Pete Willson-Wheaton Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern placed 7th with 96 points.

- No. 2 Roanoke (Va.) won the team title with 153 points, No. 4 Wisconsin-Lacrosse (Wisc.) placed 2nd with 145.5 points, No. 21 Wisconsin-Eau Claire (Wisc.) placed 3rd with 137.5 points.

- No. 12-ranked sophomore Myles Johnson (Springboro) placed 5th with a 4-2 record at the 197 pound weight class.
- Freshman Kurt Mokros (Lewis Center/Olentangy) went 5-2 and placed 5th at 125.
- Freshman Londen Murphy (Moscow/Moeller) placed 6th and went 3-3 at 157.
- Freshman Troy Dyszkiewicz (Cleveland, Tenn./Walker Valley) went 4-2 and placed 7th at heavyweight.
