Wrestling posts 0-3 record at Adrian (Mich.) Duals, falls to two nationally-ranked opponents

ADRIAN (Mich.) — The Ohio Northern wrestling team posted an 0-3 record on Saturday at the Adrian (Mich.) Duals at the Merillat Center.
The Polar Bears (0-3 overall) fell to Wisconsin-Whitewater 41-6, to No. 14-ranked Wisconsin-Stevens Point 21-16 and to No. 14-ranked Wisconsin-Oshkosh 30-6.
Freshman Jacob Reed (Canal Winchester/Lancaster) led the Polar Bears with a 3-0 record with a pin and a major decision at 141 pounds to improve to 7-0 on the season.
Senior Cash Thompson (Lake Odessa, Mich./Lakewood) had a pin and senior Jordan Hardrick (Dayton/Wayne) had a decision for ONU.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Tuesday when they open Ohio Athletic Conference action with a home dual against Heidelberg at the ONU Sports Center.
