This Weekend's Tournament: The Polar Bears will travel one time zone west to compete in the Wheaton (Ill.) Pete Willson Invitational ... 38 NCAA Division III schools are expected to compete in the 2-day individual tournament featuring the NCAA's standard 10 weight classes ... Wrestling gets underway at 11 am (CST) on Friday and 10 am (CST) on Saturday ... The championship, 3rd place and 5th place matches are slated to start at 12:45 pm (CST) on Saturday ... Trophies and placewinners will be awarded to the top eight finishers in each weight class ... Freshman Alex Kowal and freshman Cash Thompson each posted 3rd place finishes at the Alma (Mich.) Open meet last weekend ... ONU rested most of its starters, but still sent 15 wrestlers to the tournament, seven of which placed ... Thus far this season, senior Alex Bair leads the team with a 21-12 record ... Sophomore Nate Barcaskey is second with a 20-5 record and 6 pins ... Cash Thompson is third at 19-12 ... Freshman Jacob Thompson is 12-11 with a team-best 9 pins.

ONU head coach Ron Beaschler: Beaschler in his 27th season at ONU with a 316-223-4 record, a winning percentage of .586 ... He is the all-time winningest coach in ONU history and has the longest tenure as head wrestling coach at ONU ... He was inducted into the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Hall of Fame in 2008 ... He was named OAC Coach of the Year in 1993, 2012 and 2013.
