Women's Golf in second place after Day 1 of OAC Championships

WEST LAFAYETTE — The Ohio Northern women's golf team is in second place after the opening round of the 2026 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships on Friday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern is second of eight teams after 18 of the 54 holes with an opening round 330.
- ONU Season Record: 43-25 Overall.
- Mount Union is first with a 328, Heidelberg is third at 336 and Otterbein is fourth at 338..

- Sophomore Taylor Blackburn (Liberty Township/Lakota West) led the Polar Bears in the opening round with a 9-over par 81.
- She is third of 40 golfers on the par-72, 5864-yard course.
- Senior Marisa Alfes (Bellbrook) and freshman Addison Williams (Bristolville/Bristol) tied for fourth with 82s.
- Sophomore Mallory Meister (Milan/Edison) is tied for 14th with an 85.
- Freshman Myra Batra (New Delhi, India/Shiv Nadar School) is tied for 22nd with an 88.

- The OAC Championships are 54 holes with 18 being played Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
- The top five individual finishers earn All-OAC Tournament Team honors.
