Women's Golf wins Otterbein Easter Leftovers Classic on first hole of playoff

SUNBURY — The Ohio Northern women's golf team won the Otterbein Easter Leftovers Classic on the first playoff hole on a chilly and breezy on Monday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished 1st of 6 teams with a 335, tying Otterbein for the top spot. ONU thyen topped OU on the first hole of a playoff.

- Senior Marisa Alfes (Bellbrook) finished 3rd of 39 golfers with an 81 on the par-72, 5713-yard course.
- Sophomore Mallory Meister (Milan/Edison) was fifth with an 84.
- Sophomore Taylor Blackburn (Liberty Township/Lakota West) and freshman Addison Williams (Bristolville/Bristol) tied for seventh place with 85s.
- Freshman Myra Batra (New Delhi, India/Shiv Nadar School) was 17th with a 91.
Notables
- ONU won the tiebreaker, which consisted of the four best scores of six golfers for each team playing the first hole. Northern won the tiebreaker by one stroke with a 3-over par 19.
- Alfes maintains the team's low 18-hole average of 77.2.
- Head coach Chad Bucci is 566-337-2 in his 13th season at the helm of the ONU women's golf team, a winning percentage of .627.
