Tournament Preview: The Ohio Northern women's golf team will continue its spring schedule Monday and Tuesday at the DePauw (Ind.) Dan Quayle Invitational at the Covered Bridge Golf Club ... Anderson (Ind.), DePauw (Ind.), Earlham (Ind.), Ohio Wesleyan, and Wittenberg will join ONU in the unusual format that will feature both stroke play and match play to determine the team champion … On Monday morning, the six teams will play 18 holes of stroke play with 6-woman teams counting the best four scores to determine the seeding for match play ... Match play will begin Monday afternoon at 2 pm with the top four seeds playing in the semifinals and seeds 5-6 playing each other ... The No. 1 seed will face the No. 4 seed in one semifinal and the Nos. 2 and 3 seeds will compete in the other semifinal ... Seed 5 and 8 will face off and seeds 5-6 will face off in the consolation semifinals ... The finals, 3rd place, 5th place and 7th place matches will begin at 10 am on Tuesday ... The two semifinal winners will compete for first place, the 5/6 winner will play the hightest seeded semifinal loser for third place and the 5/6 loser will play the lowest seeded loser for fifth place ... Through 11 rounds this fall, Junior Grace Honigford leads the team in scoring with a 78.7 average ... Sophomore Rhianna Firmstone is second with an 82.0, sophomore Amelia Burger is third with an 82.2 and freshman Marisa Alfes is fourth with an 82.9 average.
