Four more school records fall as Women's Golf split-squad wins Bluffton Beaver Classic by 73 strokes

BLUFFTON — Four school records were broken or tied in Sunday's final round as an Ohio Northern split-squad won the 36-hole Bluffton Beaver Classic on at the Bluffton Golf Club.
The Polar Bears (31-4 overall) broke the school's 18-hole record with a final round 316 and tied the school's 36-hole record, winning the tournament by 73 strokes with a 323-316—639.
Sophomore Grace Honigford (West Chester/Lakota East) shattered the school's 36-hole record and tied her own 18-hole school record with a 72-71—143 to win Medalist honors by 16 strokes.
As a team, Ohio Northern put four golfers in the top five, with freshman Amelia Burger (Centerville) finishing second of 46 golfers with an 80-79—159, sophomore Isabella Orofino (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) in third with an 82-84‚166 and sophomore Rylie Smith (Cambridge/Buckeye Trail) tied for fifth with an 89-82—171.
Even more impressive is that these records were broken just one day after a different group of Polar Bears broke or tied three school records at the Heidelberg Fall Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Cleary (Mich.) was second with a 712 and Bluffton and Lourdes tied for third with 713s.
The Polar Bears will return to action Oct. 2-3 at the OAC Preview.
