Tomasula leads Women's Golf in dual match with Grace (Ind.)

HARROD — Senior Ariana Tomasula (Rocky River/Lutheran West) fired an 86 to lead the Ohio Northern women's golf team in a 348-355 dual match loss to Grace (Ind.) on Sunday at Colonial Golfers Club.

The Polar Bears (10-18 overall) also got an 89 from sophomore Caitlin Silva (Hilliard/Bradley) and 90s from senior Hannah Whisler (Bristol, Ind./Elkhart Central) and Heather Comer (DeGraff/Riverside).

Northern was scheduled to play at the Defiance Fall Invitational on Sunday, but the tournament was cancelled due to unplayable course conditions.

As Grace had already left their Winina Lake, Ind., campus, the NAIA Lancers came to Colonial for an impromptu dual match.

GC's Anna Marshall took Medalist honors with an 82.

The Polar Bears will wrap up their fall schedule on Oct. 15-16 at the OAC Fall Preview at River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette, Ohio.
