Tomasula leads the field as Women's Golf holds 18-hole lead at Heidelberg

TIFFIN — Junior Ariana Tomasula holds a three-shot lead after the first round of the Heidelberg Spring Invitational on Saturday afternoon at the Mohawk Country Club.
The Polar Bears (33-33 overall) hold a 362-375 lead over host Heidelberg with the final round slated for Sunday at 9 am.
Tomasula carded a 15-over par 87 on the par-72, 5811-yard course.
Freshman Caitlin Silva is tied for third out of 18 golfers with a 91 and junior Heather Comer and freshman Suzanne Short are tied the fifth with 92s.
