Ohio Northern Men's and Women's Golf team honor military, fallen soldiers

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's and women's golf team will be honoring the military and fallen soldiers with special golf bags through out the 2015-16 season.

The men's and women's golf team will be carrying golf bags engraved with Shawn Levi English, an Army captain from Westerville, Ohio, who in 2006 was deployed to Iraq and lost his life training Iraqi soldiers. English was 35 years old.

"It is with great pleasure and much honor that the Ohio Northern University Women's Golf team carry this bag with pride and remember not only Captain Shawn English, but all soldiers who sacrificed their lives," stated the ONU women's golf team. "Thank you to those who served or are currently serving to protect our country."

The Polar Bears are next in action Saturday as they compete at the Heidelberg Fall Invitational.
