Ohio Northern Women's Golf team finishes 10th at the Lynn Schweizer Invitational

GRANVILLE — The Ohio Northern women's golf team opened its 2015-16 campaign with a tenth place finish at the Lynn Schweizer Invitational in Granville Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

The Polar Bears (5-9 overall) finished with a 742 in the two-day tournament.

Junior Ariana Tomasula led the way for Northern, as she posted a 91-86-177 and finished tied for 26th in the tournament.

Junior Heather Comer was also effective for the Polar Bears as she tied for 32nd as she shot an 89-90-179.

Also placing in the top 50 for Northern was freshman Stacie Shalenberger who shot a 97-87-184.

Wittenberg won the event with a 619, Bridgewater College was second with a 629 and Denison finished third with a 686. 

The Polar Bears will return to action as they travel to Ohio Wesleyan for the Ohio Wesleyan Fall Invitational on September 12-13.
