Women's Bowling rolls record-setting six game total of 4727, posts 13th place finish at American Heartland Bowling Association I tournament

CANTON, Mich. — Freshman Mylie Galigher (Bowerston/Conotton Valley) and senior Cindy Durliat (Findlay/Liberty Benton) each surpassed the 1,000-pin mark for a six-game series to lead the Ohio Northern women's bowling team to a 13th place finish at the American Heartland Bowling Association I tournament on Saturday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern was 13th of 17 teams with a school record 4,727 pins for six regular games.
- Venue: Super Bowl Lanes - Canton, Mich.
- Lawrence Tech (Mich.) won the team title with 5439 pins, Olivet (Mich.) was second with 5399 pins and St. Vincent (Pa.) was third with 5360 pins.
ONU Individuals
- Galigher led the Polar Bears with a 6-game series of 1,031, which included a team-high game of 192.
- Durliat rolled a 1007 over six games with a high game of 185.
- Sophomore Cait Rogers (Pickerington/North) had a 982 for six games with a high game of 190.
Notables
- The Polar Bears averaged 157.6 pins per game in its six games.
- ONU broke its previous 6-game record of 4,619 set last season.
- Galigher's 1,031 series is the third-best in school history and was just 26 pins shy of her career best 1,057 set earlier this seasn. She was 29th overall as an individual.
- Durliat's 1,007 series is the fourth-best in school history and her career best.
- Rogers' 982 series is the fifth-best in ONU history and is also her career best.
- Third-year head coach Jeff Robinson leads the Polar Bears.
