Women's Bowling finishes 24th of 28 at Columbia 300 Western Shootout

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Ohio Northern women's bowling team finished 24th of 28 teams at the Columbia 300 Western Shootout on Saturday and Sunday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern was 24th of 28 teams with 7,208 pins for six regular games and 16 baker games.

- Freshman Mylie Galigher (Bowerston/Conotton Valley) led the Polar Bears with a 6-game series of 1057, which included a high game of 210.

- Freshman Ashley Mitchell (Greenfield/McClain) had a 629 for four games with a high game of 177.

- The Polar Bears were 25th in the team standings with 4,599 pins for six games on Saturday, averaging 153.3 pins per game.
- ONU averaged 163.1 pins per game in its 16 baker games on Sunday.
- Galigher's 1057 series is the second-best in school history.
- Her 210 is the eighth-best in school history. She was 48th overall as an individual.
- Rochester (N.Y.) won the team title with 8763 pins, Tennessee Wesleyan was second with 8715 pins and Indiana Tech was third with 8710 pins.
- Third-year head coach Jeff Robinson leads the Polar Bears.
