Brewer, Gray, Pauling, Sumner named Academic All-District in Women's Basketball by College Sports Communicators

ADA — Ohio Northern juniors Lexee Brewer (Sidney) and Courtney Sumner (Ada) and sophomores Emerson Gray (Liberty Center) and Charlotte Pauling (Beavercreek) were named Academic All-District in women's basketball for the 2025-26 season by the College Sports Communicators.
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, each student-athlete must have at least a 3.5 GPA and must have played in 90 percent or started 66 percent of his or her team's games in a season.
All four are first-time Academic All-District honorees.
Brewer played in all 27 games this season and started 12 at guard. She led the team with 62 assists and was second with 49 steals, while averaging 5.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.
In three years at ONU, the finance and sport management double major has 147 points, 116 rebounds, 71 assists and 55 steals.
Sumner, an early childhood education major, played in all 27 games, averaging 5.8 ppg, 2.5 rpg and 1.1 spg.
In her career, she has 300 points, 119 rebounds, 48 assists and 56 steals.
Gray started in 26 of Northern's 27 games this season. The nursing major led the Polar Bears in scoring at 14.9 ppg, rebounding at 5.3 rpg and steals with 50 and was second on the team with 48 assists.
Gray was named First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference this season.
In two years with the Polar Bears, Gray has 435 points, 161 rebounds, 54 assists and 58 steals.
Pauling, an exercise physiology major, played in 26 games at guard for the Polar Bears. She was second on the team averaging 9.7 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
Pauling has 264 points, 113 rebounds, 21 assists and 29 steals in her career at ONU.
The Polar Bears finished the season 10-17 overall and 8-8 in the OAC under sixth-year head coach Mark Huelsman.
