Emerson Gray leads Women's Basketball in 62-52 loss at No. 8-ranked Baldwin Wallace

BEREA — Sophomore Emerson Gray (Liberty Center) led the Ohio Northern women's basketball team in a 62-52 loss at No. 8-ranked Baldwin Wallace on Wednesday evening.
- Records: Ohio Northern (8-14 Overall, 7-6 OAC), #8 Baldwin Wallace (21-2 Overall, 14-0 OAC).

The Game
- Gray scored 25 points and was 10-of-15 from the floor and 4-for-5 on free throws.
- Sophomore Charlote Pauling (Beavercreek) scored 13 points and had a team-high seven rebounds and two steals.
- Junior Lexee Brewer (Sidney) also had a team-best two steals.
- Baldwin Wallace was led by Ava Wilkerson with 18 points.
- Gray scored a layup to start the game for the Polar Bears, but Baldwin Wallace went on a 7-0 run to take the lead.
- A three from junior Liv Mueller (Defiance/Tinora) tied up the game at 9.
- ONU trailed 11-10 at the end of the first quarter.
- Northern started the second quarter with a 7-0 run, with all seven points scored by Gray.
- The Yellow Jackets led 31-28 at halftime.
- The Polar Bears reclaimed the lead with a layup from junior Gabi Croft (Spencerville), going up 35-34 two minutes into the second half.
- The rest of the third quarter had six lead changes and one tie, but BW led 42-39 going into the fourth quarter.
- ONU was able to cut the Yellow Jacket lead to five with 45 seconds left, but Baldwin Wallace would hold on for the win.
- Ohio Northern made 20-of-57 field goals for 35.1 percent and was 4-of-14 from beyond the arc for 28.6 percent, while Baldwin Wallace was 20-of-50 from the floor for 40.0 percent and finished 6-of-21 on 3-pointers for 28.6 percent.
