Women's Basketball falls to DePauw (Ind.) 60-30 on final day of DePauw Tournament

GREENCASTLE, Ind. — The Ohio Northern women's basketball team fell to DePauw (Ind.) 60-30 on the second and final day of the DePauw Tournament on Tuesday afternoon.
The Basics
- Records: Ohio Northern (3-9 Overall), DePauw (7-5 Overall).

The Game
- Sophomore Charlotte Pauling (Beavercreek) and freshman Priscilla Adjei (Westerville/Central) each had five points to lead the Polar Bears.
- Pauling and sophomore Emerson Gray (Liberty Center) each had a team-high four rebounds.
- Gray and junior Lexee Brewer (Sidney) led the team with two assists each.
- Brewer also had two steals to lead the Polar Bears.
- DePauw was led by Riley Mont with 16 points.
- The Tigers started the game on a 7-0 run.
- A pair of free throws from sophomore Logan Phillips (Troy/Miami East) and a layup from Brewer made the score 7-4 with 5:59 left in the first quarter.
- DePauw ended the quarter on a 6-0 run, going up 14-6 heading into the second quarter.
- A pair of free throws from Gray cut the lead to 16-10 with 6:41 left in the half.
- The Tigers led 28-15 at halftime.
- Adjei made a three-pointer to start the third quarter for the Polar Bears.
- DePauw then went on a 15-0 run to lead 46-18 with 55 seconds left in the quarter.
- Pauling made a three to end the third quarter.
- Northern started the fourth quarter with back-to-back pull-up jumpers from junior Liv Mueller (Defiance/Tinora) to make the score 48-25.
- Ohio Northern made 10-of-39 field goals for 25.6 percent and was 3-of-17 from beyond the arc for 17.6 percent, while DePauw was 24-of-57 from the floor for 42.1 percent and finished 7-of-19 on 3-pointers for 36.8 percent.
- The Polar Bears made 7-of-9 free throws for 77.8 percent and the Tigers were 5-of-9 from the line for 55.6 percent.
- DU out-rebounded ONU 34-25.

- Pauling was named to the DePauw Tournament All-Tournament Team.
- Gray leads the Polar Bears in scoring (13.1 ppg), rebounding (5.3 rpg), assists (2.3 apg) and steals (1.8 spg) this season.
- Pauling also leads the team with 5.3 rpg and is second on the team in scoring at 11.3 ppg.
- Brewer also leads the Polar Bears in steals with 1.8 spg and is second in assists with 1.7 apg.
- This is the 54th season of Ohio Northern women's basketball. The Polar Bears are now 781-524 all-time in program history for a winning percentage of .599.
- Sixth-year head coach Mark Huelsman is now 90-47 at Ohio Northern, a winning percentage of .657.
