Sophomore Emerson Gray named OAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Emerson Gray (Liberty Center) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 8-14.
This marks the first career Player of the Week accolade for Gray.
The recognition comes after leading ONU in wins over Wilmington and Capital last week.
She had 18 points and five rebounds in a 75-40 win at Wilmington on Wednesday. She then tied her career-high of 22 points and was one rebound short of a double-double with a team-high nine boards in a 68-60 win over previously unbeaten Capital. She also led the Polar Bears with five steals and four assists against Capital.
Gray leads the team thus far this season in scoring (13.3 ppg), rebounding (5.7 rpg), assists (2.2 apg) and steals (1.4 spg).
The Polar Bears (2-7 Overall, 2-0 OAC) return to action on Saturday at Mount Union at approximately 3:30 p.m.
