Serbin, Stahler, Hale named All-OAC in Women’s Basketball for 2021-22

ADA — Ohio Northern junior Brynn Serbin (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) and seniors Alissa Stahler (Lima/Shawnee) and Jaidyn Hale (Lima/Bath) were named All-Ohio Athletic Conference in women's basketball for the 2021-22 season in voting conducted by the league's 10 head coaches.
Serbin and Stahler were Second Team selections, and Hale was named as an Honorable Mention.
Serbin is now a three-time All-OAC selection after earning Honorable Mention honors as a freshman and sophomore. The 2019-20 OAC Freshman of the Year tied for the team lead in scoring this season with 9.3 points per game. Serbin also led the team in assists (76), steals (68) and 3-pointers made (24) and ranked third in rebounding (5.3 per game). She led the OAC in steals and ranked third in the league in assists.
Serbin has played in 65 career games as a Polar Bear and ranks eighth in program history in steals (142) and is just 12 assists shy of breaking into the top 20 on the all-time list in that category.
Stahler earned the first All-OAC accolade of her career after tying Serbin for the team lead in scoring this season at 9.3 points per game. She also tied for the team lead in rebounding (5.4 per game) and tallied a team-high 23 blocks.
In 77 career games at ONU, Stahler has 419 points, 263 rebounds and 48 blocks.
Hale also earned the first All-OAC honor of her career. She ranked third on the team in scoring at 8.8 points per game and tied Serbin for the team lead in made 3-pointers (24). Hale ranked second on the team in assists (35) and steals (24).
Over her 80 games with the Polar Bears, Hale has tallied 442 points, 247 rebounds, 105 assists and 67 steals.
Ohio Northern finished its 2021-22 season with a 17-8 overall record, including 10-6 in the OAC. The Polar Bears advanced to the OAC Tournament semifinals under second-year head coach Mark Huelsman.
