Women's Basketball receives votes in D3hoops.com poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's basketball team received 55 votes in the D3hoops.com preseason poll.
FDU-Florham (N.J.) was once again picked the pre-season favorite receiving 606 pts. and 16 first place votes, followed by Amherst 533 pts., 2 first place votes, and Thomas More 525 pts., 3 first place votes.
OAC opponent Baldwin Wallace was picked 16th with 197 pts., three spots better then their previous ranking of 19th.
Northern was just 10 points shy of cracking the top 25.
The Polar Bears also recieved a vote in the USA Today Sports Preseason Top 25 DIII Women's Coaches poll.
FDU-Florham (N.J.) was also ranked s the pre-season favorite in the USA Today poll recieving 198 points, followed by Thomas More (Ky.) with 179 points.
Ohio Northern closed out the 2013-14 season 23-6 overall and 14-4 OAC and finished runner-up in the conference tournament. The Polar Bears also made its second consecutive NCAA D.III Tournament appearance.
The Polar Bears open the 2014-15 season on Nov.15-16 at the Franklin Classic Tip-Off.
