Schroeder, Ray named All-Ohio Athletic Conference in Softball

ADA — Ohio Northern junior Carlie Schroeder (Wapakoneta) and freshman Alexa Ray (Worthington/Bishop Watterson) were named to All-Ohio Athletic Conference for the 2026 season in softball in voting conducted by the league's nine head coaches.
Schroeder earned All-OAC 2nd Team honors, while Ray has been named Honorable Mention All-OAC.
This is Schroeder's first career All-Conference selection. She was named to the Academic All-OAC team last season.
She played in 32 games this season, primarily in the outfield. She posted a team-leading batting average of .360 with 17 RBIs.
In her career, Schroeder has a .320 batting average, 85 hits, and 42 RBIs.
Ray, the starting shortstop, is off to a solid start in her Polar Bear career, being named an All-OAC Honorable Mention in her freshman season.
She did it all this season, having been 1st on the team in runs scored (21) and games played (38), tied for 1st in doubles (11), 2nd in batting (.349) and 2nd in stolen bases (8).
The Polar Bears posted a 9-29 record in 2026 and were 3-13 in the OAC under second-year head coach Summer Collins.
