Men’s Cross Country picked to finish fourth in 2022 OAC Coaches Poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's cross country team was picked to finish fourth in the Ohio Athletic Conference in a poll conducted by the league's 10 head coaches.

The Polar Bears received 56 points in the poll.

Defending conference champion John Carroll was selected as the favorite with 81 points and nine first-place votes.

Otterbein was picked to finish second with 68 points and one first-place vote, Mount Union was picked third with 66 points and Wilmington was picked fifth with 54 points.

The Polar Bears ended the 2021 season with a 94-39 record, including a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regionals, marking their 17th straight top-10 finish at the event.

Northern will open its 2022 schedule on Sept. 3 when it hosts the Polar Bear Invitational under 14th-year head coach Jason Maus.
