Ian McVey named OAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern senior All-American Ian McVey (Stow/Munroe Falls) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of Aug. 30-Sept. 2.

McVey won the Bluffton 6k by more than 23 seconds, cruising across the finish line in 18:52.

He has now led ONU across the finish line in 11 consecutive races, dating to the 2016 season.

McVey has now been named the OAC Runner of the Week four times in his career.

The Polar Bears will return to action Saturday at the Calvin (Mich.) Knight Invitational.
