Senior Eric Wymer named OAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

ADA — Senior Eric Wymer was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for his efforts at the Bluffton 6k Invitational on Friday.

Wymer led Ohio Northern across the finish line, finishing second out of 83 runners in 19:19.

The Polar Bears (4-0) won the 5-team meet with 22 points, Tiffin was second with 77 points, Bluffton was third with 87 points, Ohio Christian was fourth with 157 points and Lourdes was fifth with 162 points.

A team of ONU alumni finished with 62 points and would have been second in the meet.

The Polar Bears will return to action on Saturday at the Calvin (Mich.) Knight Invitational.
