Men's Outdoor Track and Field wins five events at Hillsdale Tune Up

HILLSDALE, Mich. - The Ohio Northern men's outdoor track & field team won in 5 events en route to an impressive showing at the 2026 Hillsdale Tune Up.

- Senior Hunter Mowery (Sidney/Houston) won the 5000m run in 15:59.68.
- Junior C.J. Boothby (Milford/Clermont Northeastern) won the 100 in 10.59 seconds.
- Sophomore Ayden Fritsch (Olney, Md./Sherwood) won the 3000 steeplechase in 10:24.10.
- ONU's 4x400 relay team of freshman Quentin Rudolph (West Liberty/West Liberty-Salem), senior Zach O'Neill (Holland/Maumee Valley Country Day), freshman Jared Ryan (North Royalton/Brecksville-Broadview Heights), and junior Grant Conn (Medina/Buckeye Senior) won in 3:27.68.
- Freshman Cale Wilson (Clarksville/Clinton-Massie) won the 400 in 49.14 seconds.
- Senior Brett Greer (Mentor) was 2nd in the 100 in 10.85 seconds.
- Freshman Zach Tryon (Andover/Pymatuning Valley) finished 2nd in the 5000 in 16:21.11.
- Junior Ryan Montross (Perrysburg) came 3rd in the 1500 in 4:10.19.
- Sophomore Asu Pelima (Euclid/Villa Angela-Saint Joseph) finished 3rd in the 800 in 1:56.38.

- The meet consisted of 21 events - 10 field events, 9 running events, and 2 relays.
- Boothby's time of 21.90 is now the 33rd best in Division III this season.
- Head Coach Jason Maus is in his 17th year at Ohio Northern and is 611-174-3 in men's indoor track and field for a winning percentage of .775. He is ONU's all-time winningest coach in track and field history.
