ADA — Freshman Cale Wilson (Clarksville/Clinton-Massie) made a lasting impression in his Polar Bear debut, breaking Ohio Northern's 26-year-old triple jump record as a part of the Men's Track & Field team's victory at the annual Joe Banks Invitational Friday night.

The Basics

  • ONU was 1st of 9 varsity teams with 247 points.

  • Wilson's 14.25 in the triple jump broke the previous mark of 14.07 set in 2000 by All-American Phil Thomas.
  • The meet consisted of 3 other OAC teams: Bluffton, Heidelberg, and Otterbein.
  • Head Coach Jason Maus is in his 17th year at Ohio Northern and is 723-169 in men's indoor track and field for a winning percentage of .809. He is ONU's all-time winningest coach in track and field history.
