Track and Field teams to open 2025-26 season Dec. 5 at the Findlay Oiler Opener

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's and women's track and field teams will open their 2025-26 indoor seasons at the Findlay Oiler Opener Dec. 5 under 17th-year head coach Jason Maus.
The Polar Bears will then host the Rob and Patty Lydic Invitational on Jan. 16 and the annual Joe Banks Invitational on Jan. 30. Both meets will be held at the ONU Sports Center.
Northern will also compete at Hillsdale (Mich.), Trine (Ind.), Indianapolis, Grand Valley State (Mich.), Mt. St. Joseph, and Wittenberg prior to the OAC Championships Feb. 27-28 at Tiffin.
Individual athletes will then compete for season-best marks at home at the Polar Bear Final Qualifier on March 6-7, hoping to secure a bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships in Birmingham, Ala. on March 13-14.
The Polar Bears are scheduled to kick off the 2025 outdoor season at the Washington (Mo.) Distance Carnival on Mar. 26-27.
Northern will also travel to Cedarville, Manchester (Ind.), Tennessee, the All-Ohio Championships at Ohio Wesleyan, Bucknell, and Hillsdale (Mich.).
Ohio Northern hosts the annual Mike Becraft Invitational on Apr. 17-18 at the ONU Sports Center.
The 2026 OAC Outdoor Championships are April 30-May 1 at Muskingum.
The NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships are in La Crosse, Wis., on May 21-23.
