Senior All-American Jordan Dean qualifies for NCAA III Outdoor Track and Field Championships in 400-meter dash

ADA — Senior All-American Jordan Dean (Cleveland/Villa Angela-Saint Joseph) has qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 400-meter dash.
He will compete in the prelims on Friday at 3 pm. The top nine in the prelims will advance to the finals on Saturday at 2:10 pm.
Dean is seeded 13th in the 22-man field in the event with a season-best time of :47.08.
This marks his fifth NCAA III Championships appearance and his third outdoors.
He is a three-time All-American, finishing eighth in the outdoor 400 in :48.03 and was sixth last year outdoors in :47.36.
This season, he was sixth indoors in a school record :47.79.
Dean also owns the school record outdoors in the 400 at :46.47.
The top 22 individuals and the top 16 relay teams in each event qualify for the NCAA Championships.
ONU's 4x100 relay team is ranked 17th nationally at :40.77and the 4x400 relay team is ranked 19th nationally at 3:11.80.
