Dean, Boothby each win twice, lead Men's Track and Field to victory at the Manchester (Ind.) Invitational

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. — Senior All-American Jordan Dean (Cleveland/Villa Angela Saint Joseph) and sophomore C.J. Boothby (Milford/Clermont Northeastern) each won twice to lead the men's outdoor track and field team to a victory at the Manchester (Ind.) Invitational on a chilly and wet Saturday.

Meet Results
- Ohio Northern won seven events and finished first of nine teams with 210.5 points.
- Manchester was second with 137 points, Rose-Hulman (Ind.) was third with 99 points and Trine (Ind.) was fourth with 88.5 points.
- The meet consisted of 19 events, including eight field events, nine running events and two relays.
Top ONU Performers - Cedarville
- Dean won the 100-meter dash in 10.74 seconds, while Boothby won the long jump with a leap of 6.67 meters.
- The pair then combined with junior Brett Greer (Mentor) and freshman Dylan Dowell (Mount Vernon) to win the 4x100 relay in :41.57.
- Fifth-year senior Trey Myers (Dayton/Chaminade-Julienne) won the 800 in 1:58.05.
- Junior Evan Gomez (Farmington, N.M.) won the discus with a toss of 44.58 meters.
- Sophomore J.D. Dillman (Bethel) won the triple jump with a leap of 13.56 meters.
- Freshman Chris Bond (Franklin) won the 3,000 steeplechase in 9:58.45.
- Senior Landon Remmert (Mareng /Highland) was second in the 400 hurdles in 1:01.07.
- Dowell also finished second in the long jump at 6.57 meters.
Notables
- Dillman's 44' 6" mark in the triple jump moved him into fifth place all-time in the history of the event at ONU.
- Head Coach Jason Maus is in his 16th year at Ohio Northern and is 579-158-3 in men's outdoor track and field for a winning percentage of .784.

- The Polar Bears will return to action next weekend at several different locations. Part of the team will compete at the All-Ohio Championships at Ohio Wesleyan Friday and Saturday, some athletes will compete at the Duke Invitational on Friday and Saturday and part of the team will compete at the Bucknell Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
