Men's Track & Field wins annual Joe Banks Invitational

ADA — Senior Owen Lloyd (Colfax, Ind./Clinton Prairie) won the high jump and 60-meter hurdles to lead the Ohio Northern men's indoor track and field team to a victory at the annual Joe Banks Invitational on Saturday at the ONU Sports Center Fieldhouse.
The Polar Bears (5-1 overall) won the team title with 206 points, John Carroll finished second with 107 points and Baldwin-Wallace finished third with 41 points.
Lloyd won the high jump with a leap of 1.83 meters and the 60-meter hurdles in :08.77.
Freshman Keegan Digby (Bowling Green/Otsego) and senior Alex Sube (Wadsworth/Highland) went 1-2 in the weight throw and the shot put. Digby won the weight throw with a throw of 15.09 meters and threw 14.17 meters in the shot put. Sube was runner-up in both the weight throw with 15.07 meters and in shot put with 14.07 meters.
Senior Sam Krabacher (Hamilton/Badin) won the 800 in 1:58.98.
Seniors Dylan McKean (Warren/Champion) and Jackson Brandsteatter (Pickerington/North) finished 1-2 in the 1-mile run in 4:47.80 and 4:57.20, respectively.
Junior Nate Dean (Euclid/Villa Angela-Saint Joseph) won the 60 in :07.06.
Junior Andrew Buderer (Oak Harbor) won the pole vault by clearing 4.50 meters.
Sophomore Brooks Blakeley (Versailles) and junior Alan Dravenstott (Medina) finished 1-2 in the 1000 in 2:44.03 and 2:44.18 respectively.
Sophomore Zach Adkins (Enon/Greenon) and freshman Gabe Hensley (Lebanon) finished 1-2 in the triple jump with distances of 11.69 meters and 11.04 meters, respectively.
The 4x200 relay team of freshman Dylan Baughman (Spencerville), sophomore Dalton Neitzel (Standish, Mich./Standish-Sterling Central), Hensley, and junior Christian Booze (Bellevue) won in 1:38.77.
The 4x400 relay team of freshman David Gross (Prospect/Pleasant Local), sophomore Hunter Kesler (Oakwood/Paulding), Krabacher, and Dean won in 3:44.33.
Senior Colin McCullough (Galion) finished second in the long jump with a height of 5.95 meters.
Junior Patrick Baker (Massillon/Jackson) finished second in the 3000 in 8:54.93.
Sophomore Breydan Hann (Wooster) finished second in the 5000 with a time of 16:08.77.
Gross finished second in the 400 in :53.43.
The Polar Bears will return to action next Sunday when they travel to the Mount Union Quad Meet.
