Men's Indoor Track & Field competes at Northwest Ohio Meet

FINDLAY -- The Ohio Northern men's indoor track & field team kicked off its 2013 season by competing at the Northwest Ohio Meet, hosted by the University of Findlay Friday night.
The meet was unscored.
The Polar Bears won two events on the night.
Junior Francisque Pierre-Jerome won the 200-meter dash in 23.24 and junior Josh Colbert won the long jump with a leap of 22-11.25.
Pierre-Jerome also came in second in the 60 dash in 7.05 seconds.
In the 500 run, junior Evan McKee was second in 1:08.77 and sophomore James Rader was third in 1:10.95.
Northern had three runners post top five finishes in the 3,000 run.
Junior Mathew Johnson finished third, senior Michael Simmons was fourth and sophomore Jeff Denny was fifth, with times of 8:58.29, 9:00.80 and 9:01.60, respectively.
The 4x400 relay team of junior Adrian Arias, sophomores Richard Patterson and Jonathan Roseler and Rader was third in 3:37.28.
Sophomore Ryan Brancheau was third in the high jump with a jump of 6-00.50, while freshman Brandon Ike was third in the pole vault at 12-11.50.
Ohio Northern will compete again on Friday at the OAC Split Meet at Mount Union.
