Men's Tennis draws even on season at 4-4 with 6-1 victory over Wheaton (Ill.) in Cocoa Beach

COCOA BEACH, Fla. — Ohio Northern evened its men's tennis record at 4-4 on the season with a 6-1 victory over Wheaton (Ill.) on Tuesday afternoon on day two of its annual spring break trip to Florida.

• Junior Tyler Wood (Toledo/St. John's), sophomore Ethan Remy (Lexington) and freshman Aiden Yeager (Springfield/Northwestern) each won twice to lead the Polar Bears.
• Yeager won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, Wood won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles and Remy won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
• Wood and freshman Dylan Catanese (Lexington) won 6-4 at No. 1 doubles.
• Yeager and Remy won 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.
• Ohio Northern won the doubles point by taking sweeping all three courts, then won singles courts 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 to take the match.
• Freshman Nick Miller (Toledo/St. Francis) won 7-5, 6-2 at No. 4 singles.
• Freshman Roberto Mucarsel (Quito, Equador/Colegio Menor San Francisco de Quito) won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 6 singles.
• Junior Kessler Hackenberger (Tipp City/Tippecanoe) and freshman Noah Ehret (Beavercreek) won 6-2 at No. 3 doubles.
