Men's Tennis downs Asbury (Ky.) 5-2 indoors in Lima

LIMA — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team posted a 5-2 victory on Saturday indoors over Asbury (Ky.)

- Junior Tyler Wood (Toledo/St. John's), sophomore Ethan Remy (Lexington) and freshman Dylan Catanese (Lexington) each won twice to lead the Polar Bears.
- Wood won 6-3, 3-6, 10-2 at No. 2 singles and joined Catanese at No. 1 doubles in a 6-4 victory.
- Catanese won 6-0, 6-4 at No. 4 singles.
- Remy rallied for a 4-6, 6-2, 10-7 win at No. 3 singles and combined with freshman Aiden Yeager (Springfield/Northwestern) to win 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.

- Junior Kessler Hackenberger (Tipp City/Tippecanoe) and freshman Noah Ehret (Beavercreek) won 6-2 at No. 3 doubles.

- Northern swept the doubles courts to go up 1-0, then won at Nos. 2, 3, 4 and 6 singles for its five points.
- Catanese leads the Polar Bears thus far this season with an 11-3 singles mark and an 18-6 overall record.
- Wood and Catanese are a team-best 7-3 in doubles play.
- Hackenberger is 7-3 in singles action.
- Fourth-year head coach Sean Swisher is 46-24 at the helm of the ONU men's tennis team, a winning percentage of .657.
