Catanese, Yeager lead Men's Tennis at Hope (Mich.) Invitational

HOLLAND, Mich. — Freshmen Dylan Catanese (Lexington) and Aiden Yeager (Springfield/Northwestern) led the Ohio Northern men's tennis team at the Hope (Mich.) Fall Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

The Basics

• Records: Ohio Northern (0-0 Overall).
• Venues: Vande Poel-Heeringa Stadium Courts - Holland, Mich.
• The match did not have team scoring.

Singles Highlights

• Catanese finished with a 3-1 singles record, finishing second in Draw B.
• Yeager was 2-1 in Draw A.
• Four other Polar Bears went 2-1 in singles play.
• In all, ONU posted a 17-14 singles record on the weekend.

Doubles Highlights

• Yeager and sophomore Noah Boyce (Oakwood) posted a 2-1 record in doubles Draw A.
• The Polar Bears were 4-5 in doubles action.

Notables

• The Polar Bears will compete in four tournaments and will host Adrian (Mich.) in a dual match during their fall schedule, which will wrap up Oct. 19.
• Fourth-year head coach Sean Swisher is 44-23 at the helm of the ONU men's tennis team, a winning percentage of .657.
