Clark wins four events, leads Men's Swimming and Diving to second place finish at Wabash (Ind.) Invitational

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — Senior Nathan Clark (Cleves/Elder) won four events to lead the Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team to a second place finish at the 6-team Wabash (Ind.) Invitational Friday-Sunday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished second of six teams with 1,294 Pts.
- Records: Ohio Northern (5-0 overall).
- DePauw (Ind.) won the team title with 1532 points, Wabash (Ind.) was third with 1126 points and Franklin (Ind.) was fourth with 791 points.
- Venue: Crawfordsville High School Aquatics Center - Crawfordsville, Ind.
Meet Highlights
- Individually, Clark won the 100 breast in :55.82, the 100 I.M. in :51.76 and the 200 breast in 2:06.34.
- He also combined with senior Selby Wilt (Findlay), sophomore Chase McCluskey (Pickerington/North) and freshman Kyler Jablonski (Lebanon/Dayton Christian) to win the 400 free relay in 3:05.24.
- Wilt was also second in the 100 free in :46.64, was fifth in the 50 free in :21.28 and was fifth in the 100 back in :53.32.
- McCluskey was also second in the 200 fly in 1:54.86 and was third in the 200 free in 1:43.79.
- Sophomore Austin Peace (Eaton) was third in the 100 fly in :51.92.
- Senior Simon Bopple (Cleveland/Shaker Heights) was third in the 100 back in :51.15.
- Freshman Braedon McMillen (Westlake) was third in the 3-meter diving with 263.65 points.
- Senior Long Huynh (Billings, Mt./West) was fifth in the 200 fly in 2:00.59.
Notables
- The meet consisted of 20 events, including 13 individual races, two diving events and five relays.
- Austin Veltman is 41-20 in his seventh season as head coach of the Polar Bears.
