Men's Swimming and Diving finishes second at Calvin (Mich.) Quad Meet

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team finished third at the Calvin (Mich.) Quad Meet Friday and Saturday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished second of four teams with 719 points.
- Records: Ohio Northern (3-0 overall, 2-0 OAC).
- Calvin won the team title with 1,630 points, Carthage (Wis.) was third with 548 points and Albion (Mich.) was fourth with 265 points.

Meet Highlights
- Freshman Braedon McMillen (Westlake) was second in the 3-meter diving with 264.25 points and was third in the 1-meter diving with 265.25 points.
- Senior Nathan Clark (Cleves/Elder) was third in the 100-yard breast in :52.28 and was seventh in the 50 free in :21.69 and was seventh in the 200 breast in 2:14.53.
- Senior Max Etheridge (Ashley/Hayes) was third in the 3-meter diving with 218.90 points and was fifth in the 1-meter diving with 249.95 points.
- Senior Selby Wilt (Findlay) was fourth in the 50 free in :21.42 and the 100 free in :47.89.
- Junior Austin Tulanowski (Lewis Center/Olentangy) was fourth in the 3-meter diving with 211.45 points and was sixth in the 1-meter diving with 190.35 points.
- Sophomore Chase McCluskey (Pickerington/North) was fourth in the 200 fly in 2:00.79.
- Freshman Liam Donovan (Dublin/Coffman) was fourth in the 400 I.M. in 4:23.00.
- Junior Nathan Herbert (Medina/Highland) was sixth in the 500 free in 5:00.77 and the 200 free in 1:48.62.
- Senior Simon Bopple (Cleveland/Shaker Heights) was sixth in the 100 back in :54.28.
- Junior Evan Miller (Cincinnati/La Salle) was seventh in the 200 fly in 2:03.43.
Notables
- The meet consisted of 19 events, including 11 individual races, two diving events and four relays.
- The meet was scheduled for 20 events, but the final relay race was canceled due to a power outage in the natatorium.
- Austin Veltman is 39-20 in his seventh season as head coach of the Polar Bears.
