Men's Swimming and Diving wraps up regular season with 156-132 loss at Grove City (Pa.)

GROVE CITY, Pa. — The Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team wrapped up its regular season with a 156-132 loss at Grove City (Pa.) on Saturday.

Meet Highlights
- Junior Holden Cubberley (Celina) won the 3- and 1-meter diving with 258.00 and 296.85 points, respectively.
- Freshman Nathan Herbert (Medina/Highland) won the 1000-yard free in 10:16.87 and the 500 free in 4:57.49.
- Sophomore Selby Wilt (Findlay) won the 100 back in 53.21.
- Sophomore Isaac Reddy (Maryland Heights, Mo./Pattonville), junior Brady Horgan (New Richmond/McNicholas), sophomore Nathan Clark (Cleves/Elder) and Wilt were a part of the winning 200 free relay squad in 4:57.49.
- Senior Charlie Spyker (Harrod/Shawnee) placed second in the 3m with 185.80 and 1 m diving with 216.15, and in the 200 yard back in 2:05.05.
- Clark placed second in the 100 breast in 59.82 and the 200 breast in 2:16.17.
- Horgan also placed second in the 50 free in 21.70.
Notables
- The meet consisted of 16 events, including 12 individual races, two relays and two diving events.
- The Polar Bears won six of the 16 events.
- The meet is the last regular-season contests for Ohio Northern.
- Austin Veltman is now 31-17 in his sixth season as head coach of the Polar Bears.
