Sophomore Carson Zurmehly named OAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for fifth time this season

ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Carson Zurmehly (Batavia/McNicholas) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 29-Oct. 5.
This marks his 6th career OAC Player of the Week accolade and 5th this season.
The latest recognition comes after recording two saves in goal in a 1-0 shutout win over Marietta on Saturday evening.
Zurmehly leads the OAC in GAA (.500), save percentage (.861) and shutouts (6) and is fifth in total saves (31).
In 17 career games in goal, he now has 50 saves and seven shutouts.
The Polar Bears (6-0-4 Overall, 1-0-0 OAC) return to action on Wednesday at Baldwin Wallace at 7 p.m.
