Sophomore Carson Zurmehly named OAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for fourth time this season

ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Carson Zurmehly (Batavia/McNicholas) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 22-28.

This marks his fifth career OAC Player of the Week accolade and fourth this season.

The latest recognition comes after recording five saves in goal in a 2-2 draw with Kenyon on Saturday.

Zurmehly leads the OAC in GAA (.625), save percentage (.848) and shutouts (4) and is third in total saves (28).

In 15 career games in goal, he now has 47 saves and five shutouts.

The Polar Bears (4-0-4 overall) return to action on Tuesday when they host Adrian (Mich.) at Kerscher Stadium at 7 p.m.
