Sophomore Carson Zurmehly named OAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for third time this season

ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Carson Zurmehly (Batavia/McNicholas) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 15-21.
This marks his fourth career OAC Player of the Week accolade and third this season.
The latest recognition comes after recording seven saves over two games this week.
He had four saves in a 1-1 draw at Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday and three saves in a 1-1 draw with Rose-Hulman (Ind.) on Saturday.
Zurmehly leads the OAC in GAA (.430), save percentage (.885) and shutouts (4) and is tied for second in total saves (23).
In 14 career games in goal, he now has 42 saves and five shutouts.
The No. 11-ranked Polar Bears (4-0-3 overall) return to action on Saturday when they host Kenyon at Kerscher Stadium at 1 p.m.
