Men's, Women's Soccer earn College Team Academic Award from United Soccer Coaches

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's and women's soccer teams were each named College Team Academic Award winners by United Soccer Coaches for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2024-25 academic year.

This is the men's 18th consecutive year earning the honor and the women's third consecutive year.

To earn the accolade, a team must post a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the academic year.

The ONU women achieved a team-wide GPA of 3.67 in 2024-25, and the men had a cumulative GPA of 3.39.

A total of 740 teams (303 men, 437 women) across the country earned the honor.

Ohio Northern was one of 168 schools that had both their men's and women's programs recognized.

The ONU men open their 2025 season on Aug. 29 at Mary Washington (Va.).

The Polar Bear women open their 2025 campaign on Aug. 31 at Rose-Hulman (Ind.).
