Men’s Soccer to open 2023 season Sept. 1 against Kenyon

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's soccer team will open its 2023 season at home against Kenyon on Sept. 1 under fifth-year head coach Chris Matejka.
The 2023 season opener pits the Polar Bears against an Owls team that advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament in 2022.
Northern is also set to host non-conference foes Calvin (Mich.) and Colorado College.
ONU will travel for non-conference games at Oberlin, Ohio Wesleyan, North Central (Ill.), North Park (Ill.), Trine (Ind.) and Rose-Hulman (Ind.).
The Polar Bears will open Ohio Athletic Conference play hosting Mount Union on Sept. 30.
Other conference home games include those against Otterbein, John Carroll, Muskingum and Baldwin Wallace.
Northern will play road OAC games at Capital, Heidelberg, Wilmington and Marietta.
The OAC Tournament is scheduled for Oct. 31 to Nov. 4.
The Polar Bears are the reigning OAC Regular Season champions after posting an 8-0-1 record in league play in 2022 en route to advancing to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament and finishing with an overall record of 13-4-5 and No. 13 national ranking in the United Soccer Coaches Poll.
