Levi King garners second consecutive OAC Offensive Player of the Week honor
By Blake Moore
ADA - For the second successive week, freshman midfielder Levi King (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) has been tabbed the Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for men's soccer, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
King turned in another impressive week as the Polar Bears went 3-0-0 against Thomas More (Ky.), Anderson (Ind.), and Rose-Hulman (Ind.) during the voting period to extend the program's win streak to five matches.
King tallied three assists and nine points, which led the team in both categories. The freshman also scored once in each contest to register three goals during the voting period and give him a four-match scoring streak, dating back to a September 15 match against Oberlin.
He now leads the team in assists (6) and sits tied for the team lead in points (18) on the season. His six goals in 2018 rank second overall.
This is the second time in his career that King has been named OAC Offensive Player of the Week.
The Polar Bears return to action on Wednesday, September 26 when they wrap up the 2018 nonconference schedule with a road trip to Adrian (Mich.). Match time is 7 p.m. from Docking Stadium in Adrian, Michigan.
