Chaney, Lich named USILA Honorable Mention All-America in Men's Lacrosse

ADA — Ohio Northern junior Jack Chaney (Westerville/South) and sophomore Peyton Lich (Palmyra, N.Y./Palmyra-Macedon) were both named Honorable Mention All-American by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association for the 2026 season.
This is the first time in program history that two Polar Bears have received this recognition in the same season.
Chaney was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year this season at midfield. He led the ONU offense this season with 54 points on 26 goals and a team-high 28 assists. He was also named the OAC Tournament MVP in the Polar Bears' second straight OAC Tournament Championship title.
Chaney enters his senior year at Northern with 100 points on 46 goals and 54 assists along with 24 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers.
Lich also earned First Team All-OAC honors this season as the team's starting goalkeeper. He started 20 games and had 188 saves in 1105 minutes with a .554 save percentage and a 7.29 GAA. His GAA and save percentage led the OAC and he was second in saves.
In two years at ONU, he has played in 40 games with 35 starts with 351 saves, 26 wins, a 7.99 GAA and a .570 save percentage in 1989 minutes. He ranks second all-time at Northern in saves, third with 26 wins, and fourth in GAA.
The Polar Bears finished 14-7 overall and 7-1 in the OAC, winning the OAC Tournament and earning the league's automatic bid into the NCAA III Tournament. Northern made it to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament for the second year in a row under 11th-year head coach Nat St. Laurent.
