Sophomore Alex Pizarro named OAC Defender of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Alex Pizarro (Boonsboro, Md.) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defender of the Week for the week of Apr. 2-8.

Pizarro earned the honor forb the first time in his career.

The sophomore led Northern to a 2-0 week as the Polar Bears defeated conference-foes Wilmington and Muskingum.

Pizarro had a 4.67 goals against average in 90 minutes of action and posted a 2-0 record on the week as Northern's goalie.

The Polar Bears return to action Wednesday, Apr. 12 at 7 pm as they host Heidelberg at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
