Men's Golf in 2nd place after Day 1 of the OAC Championships

WEST LAFAYETTE - The Ohio Northern men's golf team sits in 2nd place ffter day one of the OAC Championships after a hard-fought first round on Friday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern is 2nd of eight teams, shooting a 3-over-par 291, after 18 holes of the 54-hole tournament.
- ONU Season Record: 92-19-1.
- Marietta sits in 1st place after a 1-under-par round of 287. Otterbein is in 2nd with a 5-over-par 293, while Mount Union is 4th with a 6-over-par 294.

- Senior Bennett Christy (Plymouth, Ind.) led the Polar Bears, shooting an even-par 72 on the 6,684-yard course.

- Junior Aashir Patel (Schaumburg, Ill./Conant), sophomore Ian Briars (Maumee/Anthony Wayne), and freshman Sam Cramer (Plain City/Alder) each shot 1-over-par 73s.
- Freshman Zach Butcher (Medina/Highland) fired an impressive 3-over-par 75.
