Men's Golf Ends Fall Season with 3rd place finish at Polar Bear Classic in Hebron, Ky.

HEBRON, Ky. — The Ohio Northern men's golf team took 25 players to Hebron, Ky., for the Polar Bear Classic on Monday, posting a solid third-place finish in tough cold and windy conditions.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished 3rd of 12 teams at 33-over par 321.
- ONU Season Record: 61-14.
- Otterbein took first place in the tournament with a 299, Baldwin Wallace was third with a 325 and Capital was fourth with a 327.

- Sophomore Ian Briars (Maumee/Anthony Wayne) was the Polar Bears' best today, finishing T7 with a 6-over-par 78.
- Freshman Zach Butcher (Medina/Highland) finished 13th with a 7-over-par 79.
- Playing for the E-Team, freshman Rory Conway (Summit, Nj./Summit) was T14 with an 8-over-par 80.
- Playing for the B-Team, freshman Alex Diesel (Cincinnati/Colerain) was also T14 with an 8-over-par 80.
- Playing for the E-Team, junior Ryan Polly (Sycamore, Ill./Sycamore) shot a 9-over-par 81 to finish T18.
- Playing for the D-Team, sophomore Robert Myers (Waynesville) tied Polly with a 9-over-par 81.
Notables
- Otterbein's Ian Morgan took home medalist honors, shooting a 1-under-par 71.
- He was backed up by teammates Carter Woodward and Colin Bibler, shooting 75 & 76, respectively.
- The field consisted of five other OAC programs, giving a good look towards spring as fall wraps up.
- ONU head coach Chad Bucci is 488-417-16 in his 13th season at the helm of the men's program, a winning percentage of .539.
