Junior Aashir Patel named OAC Men's Golfer of the Week for second time this season

ADA — Junior Aashir Patel (Schaumburg, Ill./Conant) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for the week of Sept. 29-Oct. 5.
This is Patel's second career Player of the Week accolade and second this season.
The recognition comes after winning Medalist honors in record-breaking fashion in Bluffton's 2025 Beaver Fall Classic on Saturday and Sunday.
Patel came in first of 48 golfers, shooting 66-72—138, setting 18- and 36-hole school records in the process.
ONU finished third of nine teams at the Classic.
Patel currently leads the team with a 71.6 stroke average for seven rounds.
The Polar Bears will return to action Oct. 11-12 at the OAC Fall Preview or the Defiance Fall Invitational.
