Men's Golf shatters school's 54-hole record by 12 strokes at Tiffin Memorial

TIFFIN — The Ohio Northern men's golf team shattered its 54-hole school record by 12 strokes at the Tiffin's Kyle Ryman Memorial.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished fourth of 12 teams at 19-over par 291-301-291—883.
- Tiffin took first place in the tournament, shooting 7-under par 857 over the two days. Indiana (Pa.) was second at 859, Pittsburgh-Johnstown was third at 865 and Malone was fifth at 886.

- Freshman Sam Cramer (Plain City/Alder) tied for 16th with a 72-73-72—217.
- Junior Aashir Patel (Schaumburg, Ill./Conant) tied for 32nd, going 73-79-74—226.
- Freshman Zach Butcher (Medina/Highland) finished T46 with 81-74-76—231.
- Senior Bennett Christy (Plymouth, Ind./Plymouth) met his teammate at T46, going 76-80-75—231.
Notables
- Northern broke its own school record of 395 set at the 2016 OAC Championships.
- Briars tied the school's 54-hole record of 215, set by Patel at the 2024 OAC Championships.
- He also bettered his previous college-best score of a 71 with two rounds of 70 over the two-day affair.
- The teams played 36 holes on Monday and 18 more on Tuesday.
- The tournament was made up of 10 Division II schools, Ohio Northern and Heidelberg.
- ONU head coach Chad Bucci is 460-409-16 in his 13th season at the helm of the men's program, a winning percentage of .529.
