Tournament Preview: The Ohio Northern men's golf team will continue its spring schedule Saturday and Sunday at the Bluffton Classic at Hidden Creek Golf Club ... Bluffton, Wooster, Marietta, Alma (Mich.), Heidelberg, Earlham (Ind.), Defiance, Tiffin, Muskingum and Adrian (Mich.) are expected to join ONU in the 36-hole tournament that will begin with flighted tee times on Saturday at 9 am ... ONU will tee off from 9:40-10:12 in 8-minute increments … The Polar Bears are coming off a fourth place finish at the 8-team DePauw (Ind.) Invitational last weekend at Covered Bridge Golf Club in Sellersburg, Ind ... The Polar Bears finished fourth of eight in the stroke play portion of the competition on Monday morning ... Freshman Anthony Naso tied for fourth out of 48 golfers with a one-over par 73 on the 6,833-yard course to lead Ohio Northern ... Freshman Joey DeSimone tied for 16th with a 78, sophomore Adam Trigg-Holdman was 23rd with a 79 and sophomore Andrew Briars tied for 24th with an 80. ... In the match play segment on Monday afternoon, top-seeded DePauw (Ind.) defeated ONU 5-1 in the semifinals ... On Tuesday, Northern then fell to No. 3 seed Wittenberg 3-2-1 in the third place match ... Through 12 rounds this fall, freshman Bennet Christy leads the team in scoring with a 77.3 average ... Senior Josh Steyer is second t 77.5, Naso is third at 78.1 and Trigg-Holdman is fourth at 78.7.
