Men's Golf wraps up Fall schedule with fifth place finish at Wittenberg Fall Classic

SPRINGFIELD — The Ohio Northern men's golf team wrapped up its fall schedule with a fifth place finish at the Wittenberg Fall Classic on Sunday and Monday at the Springfield Country Club.

The Polar Bears (18-19-3 overall) carded a 327-310—637 to finish tied with Wabash (Ind.) for fifth.

No. 8-ranked Wittenberg won the team title with a 297-284—581. Webster (Mo.) was second with a 299-292—591, Otterbein was third with a 308-301—609 and DePauw (Ind.) was fourth with a 312-305—617.

Seniors Nolan Kimberly (Zanesville) and Andrew Slusher (Covington) tied 23rd out of 53 golfers with 156s to lead Ohio Northern.

Ohio Northern's "B" team carded a 327-312—639 to finish eighth. There were 12 teams overall, but only the eight "A" teams counted toward the team standings.

Freshman Jacob Brooks (New Albany) led the "B" team with an 80-77—157 to finish tied for 26th.

Webster's Will Hocker won Medalist honors with a 3-under par 141.

The Polar Bears' spring schedule will be announced later this winter.
